Network Environment	Not required for stand-alone computers. Point is written to be compatible with Microsoft peer-to-peer and client/server networks. Although Point cannot be installed on a Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system, a computer with Microsoft Windows 2000 can be used as a file server, as well as Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Server 2000, Server 2003, or Server 2008. Calyx does not support the operation of Point or any data hosted on a storage device and RAID Arrays, or the operation of Point on the following networks: Novell networks Linux environments Windows 98 Windows 2000 Windows ME OS/2 UNIX Point is known to be problematic with these environments. File search issues are the most common when data is hosted on Linux, RAID Arrays, or storage devices.
Software	Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5SP1 or later. Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel version 2000 or higher are required for some features in Point. Microsoft Excel 2007 or higher is required to generate the NMLS Call Report. Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher is required for reading PDF files.

Additional Information:

*Calyx Point is compatible only with Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. Point can automatically launch Outlook to a new mail message and automatically attach the file. However, this function is only compatible with Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. You will need to save the file onto your desktop and manually attach it to an email if you use any mail client other than Outlook or Outlook Express.

*Per Microsoft, Microsoft Office 64-bit active-x controls may not function with 32-bit applications. This means that if you have Office 64-bit, launching e-mail from Point may not function properly. Microsoft recommends to install Office 32-bit if you use any 32-bit application that connects to Office.

*Installing Point via MyCalyx downloads a PointStarter.exe, a ClickOnce executable. Because Pointstarter.exe accesses the internet to communicate with the MyCalyx server, some antivirus applications may prompt a warning that Pointstarter.exe is a virus or for you to allow the executable to run.

If your firewall or antivirus is attempting to block or stop Pointstarter.exe, you should allow it to access the internet so that Point can communicate with the MyCalyx server for upgrades.
