SYMPTOM

E-mailing point data files or forms generates an error: "Point Email Error: User Cancelled Process"

CAUSE

Google Desktop is installed and causing a conflict.

RESOLUTION

Disable Google Desktop

1. Close all programs that are opened.
2. From the desktop, select Start > Run.
3. In the Open field, enter msconfig.
4. Click OK.
5. From the System Configuration Utility window, select the Startup tab.
6. Uncheck Google Desktop.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Restart
9. When the computer restarts, try to e-mail a file or form from Point.

Uninstall Google Desktop

1. Close Point.
2. Go to the Control Panel.
3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
4. From the Add or Remove Programs list, select Google Desktop.
   
   
   
5. Select Remove.
6. From the Google Desktop window, select Remove completely for all users.
   
   

   

7. From the next Google Desktop window, select It's not compatible with another program.
8. Select Uninstall.
   
   
   
   
   
9. When Google Desktop has been successfully uninstalled, restart the computer.
10. Open Point and e-mail a point data file or form.
