When you open Point, an error appears: "Parameter Incorrect"

CAUSE

The Point files may be hosted on a network attached storage device or on a computer that has Windows 98/ME installed or there is a corrupt data folder connected in Point Administrator.

RESOLUTION

If you are on a network, contact the network administrator to verify that the Point files are not hosted in an unsupported environment, such as, attached storage devices, Windows 98/ME, Linux or a Linux based drive.

The error may also occur if the data folder is missing configuration files.  Click here for instructions to create a new data folder.  When the new data folder is created, try opening Point.

If Point opens after the new data folder is created, you should copy all your files from the old data folder to the new one. Click here for instructions on copying files from one data folder to another. 

*You can disconnect a data folder by going to Start > All Programs > Calyx Software > click Data Folders, and then from the Data Folder Manager window, select the folder to disconnect and click Disconnect.
