Network Interface Card (NIC)Not required for stand-alone computers, but an Ethernet card and TCP/IP is required for networking Point.
PrinterAny Windows-compatible printer (1 MB memory required for laser printers.) Note: Multi-function printers are known to be problematic with the Point application. Calyx provides limited support for these types of printers, however the individual is ultimately responsible for these issues.

SoftwareMicrosoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher). Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel are required for some features in Point. Adobe Acrobat Reader (V 5.0 or higher) is required fo reading PDF files.
Modem/Internet ConnectivityAn active internet connection is required to access Internet-enabled services in Point.

  • The Calyx Document Converter controls the function for generating PDF files from Point, when E-mailing forms.
  • Point version 5.3 or below is not supported when installed on Windows Vista.
