SYMPTOM

Opening a Point.pcf attachment and clicking Copy generates an error: "PCF ERROR: External Component has thrown an exception.”

CAUSE

A folder is not selected in the Point Compressor Utility.

RESOLUTION

Remove non-existent data folders from the winpoint.ini file

1. Close Point.
2. From the desktop, select Start > Run.
3. In the Open field, enter WINPOINT.INI and click OK.
4. Go to the [Directories] entry.
5. For any parameter that contains =SENTINEL, delete the entire line. 
6. Save and close the file.
7. Open the attachment again.
