0313 Creating users and user groups

Add a User

  1. Log into the Point Data Server Administration site.
  2. From the left Navigation Menu, go to Users > Add User.
  3. Enter the Full Name, User ID, and Password.
  4. Click Add User.

       

If you are adding a user that will be given access to This Processor's Files Only or This Rep's Files Only, the Full Name must appear exactly as it does in Point, or the user will not be able to access the files.  This data is set in Point in Utilities > Dropdown Lists > Processors or Utilities > Dropdown Lists > Representative.

Add a User Group

  1. Log into the Point Data Server Administration site.
  2. From the left Navigation Menu, go to User Groups > Add User Group.
  3. Enter a group name and then click Add User Group.
