0728 MyCalyx Prerequisite Check loops after reboot

SYMPTOM

The Prerequisite Check page loops after restarting the computer.

 

CAUSE

Internet Explorer 10 is installed, which causes a compatibility issue with the installation.

Check Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer 10.

The installation is not compatible with the initial compatibility setting in Internet Explorer. You can change this setting for MyCalyx by completing the following steps:

  1. Closed all web pages
  2. Click the Install Point link from the installation e-mail that you have received.
  3. From the Prerequisite page, click the compatibility icon on the menu bar. (The compatibility icon is the page break icon that is to the right of the address bar).






  4. Close all the web pages and then click Install Point from your MyCalyx installation e-mail.
  5. The License Agreement should now display. Simply accept the License Agreement and click Next.

If you cannot find the Compatibility icon on the menu bar, complete the following steps:

  1. Close all web pages.
  2. Click the Install Point link from the installation e-mail that you have received.
  3. From the Prerequisite Check web page, select Tools from the menu bar.
  4. Select Compatibility View Settings.
  5. From the Settings window, MyCalyx.com is defaulted under the Add this website field. Just click Add and it will add the MyCalyx website to the compatibility view settings.
  6. Click Close.
  7. Accept the license agreement.
  8. Click Next and proceed with the installation.

 

Check Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer 11

The installation is not compatible with the initial compatibility setting in Internet Explorer. You can change this setting for MyCalyx by completing the following steps:

If you cannot find the Compatibility icon on the menu bar, complete the following steps:

  1. Close all web pages.
  2. Click the Install Point link from the installation e-mail that you have received.
  3. From the Prerequisite Check web page, select Tools/Tools Gear from the menu bar.





  4. Select Compatibility View Settings.
  5. From the Settings window, MyCalyx.com is defaulted under the Add this website field. Just click Add and it will add the MyCalyx website to the compatibility view settings.



  6. Click Close.
  7. Accept the license agreement.
  8. Click Next and proceed with the installation.



If checking compatibility mode does not resolve the issue, please perform the following steps:

Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile

  1. Close all web pages.
  2. Go to the Windows Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Programs and Features.
  4. From the Programs and Features window, look for and uninstall any relation to Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.




  5. Restart the computer after Microsoft .NET Framework 4 has been removed.
  6. Install Point again.
